The TVET training space, reimagined.
Future Training Space Ideation asks instructors to design the training space they wish they had, the equipment, the room, the furniture, a smart classroom rendered as drawings and simulations, built around a futuristic and environmentally friendly concept. It is an invitation to picture the TVET learning environment of the future and make the case for it.

What this category is for.
It drives creativity and innovation in the design of future training spaces, and encourages the use of modern technology and approaches, AI, VR, AR, and IoT, to make the learning experience genuinely more effective.
It also gives instructors a platform to share futuristic ideas that are practical and actually usable, the kind another institution could pick up and build.
Eligibility and the one category rule.
Entry follows the general MIPAC TVET 2026 rules covered on the About page and in the main competition guidelines. This category centres on a design proposal for a future training space, presented as a pitch video, so the submission has to put the idea, its visualisation, and its innovation value across clearly.
What the submission has to be.
The deliverable is a pitch video presenting the future-training-space design. It has to meet these specs to be accepted.
The supporting documents.
Alongside the pitch video, each entry submits a small set of supporting materials. All of it has to stay accessible for the whole judging period.
- Project report. Background, concept design, technology used, impact, and AI usage prompt or log where relevant, in PDF or Word.
- Extended abstract. A short summary of the project.
- Project poster. A single visual summary of the work.
- Video or digital material link. Where the pitch video and any related material live.
- Other supporting documents. Anything else relevant that strengthens the entry.
What the judges look at.
A panel of TVET experts scores each entry across a document review and a presentation session. These are the things they weigh. The exact weighting for each is set by the evaluation committee and listed in the category guidelines.
- Project report, including the AI usage log
- Mandatory specification and ethical AI use
- The presentation, how clearly the idea is explained and questions answered
- Design and function, including layout, safety, feasibility and sustainability
- Originality and creative innovation, an idea that looks to the future
- The pitch video, clear visuals, audio and editing
- Impact and usability in real TVET settings
- Potential for wider use, scaling and adaptation
